The good and bad of loving information is that you get a lot of it and hate to throw it away until you skim it and take some notes. But, I am getting backed up so I think I am going to start a Friday edition that will be less thorough and more a data dump of things that I have set aside. - Drugstore.com turns to making a profit led by 53% OTC sales. 11% of their business is providing mail order pharmacy and 24% for RiteAid. (Drug Store News)
- The SEMI e-prescribing study survey showed that physicians who used a tool (although skeptical initially) were very positive on it. 90% said it met or exceeded expectations. 70% saw a reduction in communications with pharmacies. More than half thought it saved time and increased productivity. 65% reported at least one change due to a safety alert. (Drug Store News)
